This page explains what happens to your details when you contact Kent Studio through this website, by email or by phone. We only collect what we need to reply to you.
Who we are
Kent Studio is run by Eric Kent, a web designer based in Larnaca, Cyprus. Eric is responsible for your details. In law, this makes him the “data controller”.
What we collect
If you send an enquiry through the form on this website, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. If you email or call us, we receive the details you include.
This website doesn’t use cookies, tracking or advertising tools. Its fonts are stored on the site itself, so visiting it only connects you to our web host, Cloudflare.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to you, to prepare a quote and, if you decide to go ahead, to build your website and look after it. Under data protection law (the GDPR), we can do this because:
- you’ve asked us to take steps before entering into a contract with you, and then to carry out that contract (Article 6(1)(b));
- we have a legitimate interest in replying to messages people send us (Article 6(1)(f)).
We never sell your details, and we won’t send you marketing unless you ask for it.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and keeps short technical records so it can show you the site and keep it secure.
- Formspree delivers messages from the contact form to our inbox.
- Google provides our email (Gmail).
These services only handle your details so they can provide their service to us. Some of them may process data outside the European Union. When that happens, your details are protected by data protection agreements that meet EU rules.
How long we keep it
If you don’t become a client, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, we keep your details while we’re working together, and keep invoices and business records for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, limit or object to how we use them, or send you a copy to take elsewhere. Just email kentstudio.contact@gmail.com and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus at gov.cy/dataprotection.
